• REVISION: Mini-Essay on Youth in "Araby" and "The Nightingale and the Rose"
• Revision for ideas: thesis and development
• Identify your thesis statement. Check to make sure everything else in your paper relates to that statement. 
• Look at your order of ideas. Make sure the progression of your ideas is logical.
• Author revision for 1st 6 wks Focus Correction Areas: 

• capitalization
• apostrophe use, avoiding contractions, and 
• proper paragraphing

• Grammarly Chrome extension
• Turn in your revised mini-essay on Google Classroom by the end of the period. Hand in the first draft you brought to class so I can compare your two versions and see your enhancements. 

• HW due Fri. 9/14/18: DISCOVERY LESSON- Critical Theories: Formalism / New Criticism & New Historicism
• Use the hyperdoc I've sent to you in Google Classroom to learn about two theories of literary criticism. 
• Take notes on the white sections.
• Complete the blue sections for a grade and turn in by class time on Friday.
