• Written Response: Instead of writing a response today, please complete and turn in the assignment on quotations from "The Yellow Wallpaper" that we started on Friday:
• Choose one quotation that intrigues you and write a one-page analysis of it that:
1. Explains the meaning of the quotation in your own words and
2. Develops a point about the quotation (agree/disagree/qualify, take it a step further, make an educated guess about the consequences of the quotation...)

• Discussion of mini essay: Youth in "Araby" and "The Nightingale and the Rose". You can revise if you come to speak to me about your paper first.

• "Setting" and "Point of View" text notes
• 1B: Open notes quiz
• Q&A on notes

• Read "The Story of an Hour" by Kate Chopin once to annotate for vocab and a second time to annotate for fiction elements. When finished, write one interpretive question and post it on Google Classroom. Then, respond to two classmates' questions with a short paragraph response.
