• Read the poem "Digging" by Seamus Heaney and discuss its qualities of postmodern (post WW2) writing.
• Qualities of postmodern literature:
1. focus on reader's response to / experience of literature
2. fractured narrative
3. paradox
4. unreliable narrator
5. metafiction
6. lack of realism / magical realism

• Semester Exam Website                Class time given for this project so far:  18.5 hours

• NOTE: I have removed the requirement for a page on your website for contemporary (21st century) literature. Your final website needs to deal with 7 literary time periods: Classical, Anglo-Saxon, Middle Ages. Renaissance, Romantic Era, Victorian Era, 20th century (modernism / postmodernism).

• I will not be grading your website again until the final is due on Mon. 5/13/19. If you want feedback on your work, you can let me know and I will be glad to tell you how I think you are doing. If you have a certain score in mind, let me know and I can tell you if you are on track for that score or what needs to be done to meet the expectations for that score.
