  • Local Scholarships: Ms. Boleach came in to discuss procedures for seniors to apply to local scholarships. You can access the application on your portal under the "School Links" tab beginning Monday 2/25/19 and will close on March 22 at noon. If you were absent, your counselor will call you in to give you the information.

      • Read feedback
      • Make sure your name, course and Spring 2019
      • Literature should be the biggest section of each time period 
      • It is NOT acceptable to list information then put links at the bottom of the page. Info needs a link or a footnote that has the MLA citation like you would see on a Works Cited page.
      • Beowulf is an Anglo-Saxon epic poem and should be listed on your literature section.
      • Images need sources and explanation.

  • Beowulf timed essays
    • Discussion of strategies that worked in the essays
      • thesis that states key concepts
      • organizing by concept
      • supporting with specific quotes that relate to the topic
    • Place a copy in your writing portfolio

      • All information should have sources linked and/or footnoted at the bottom of each page in MLA format. (SEE EXAMPLE PAGE)
      • It is understood that you might add details later such as images, embedded video, quizzes, etc., but the information for the literature, art, history, English language, attitude/morals/social expectations, customs sections needs to be present.
      • Reminder that you are not to copy/paste information from your sources. You are to take multiple sources and synthesize them into your own words.
